Goodwill Industries of Denver is committed to helping those with barriers to employment change their lives, and with the help of Macy’s, is pleased to announce its “Exchange to Change Lives” program and makeover contest.
As part of the program, Macy’s has donated makeovers to three Goodwill program participants, all of whom have improved their lives by participating in Goodwill’s school-to-work education programs or workforce development classes. In addition, select Macy’s stores in the Denver area will carry Goodwill’s “Good Exchange for Change” party planning kits so that its customers can have the opportunity host clothing exchange parties. The kit comes with all of the information needed to host a successful, fun clothing exchange party, and everything that is not exchanged will then be donated to Goodwill.
In tandem with the Good Exchange for Change party planning kits, the Macy’s in Cherry Creek will be holding a special event on Thursday, July 29, to engage the community and profile the Goodwill program participant makeover winners.
